On 4-5 December, 2021, School of Foreign Languages and Cultures And CQU Students Career Development And Employment Guidance Center successfully organized the 5th International Organizations Talent Training Camp-Jia Ling Zhi Zi in Huxi Campus, Chongqing University. Over 500 students from Chongqing University(CQU), Sichuan International Studies University, Chongqing Technology and Business University, ChongQing Medical University, Chongqing Jiaotong University, Chongqing Normal University and Chongqing University of Science and Technology participated in the 2-day intensive camp. The opening ceremony was hosted by Ou Ling, Secretary of CPC the School of Foreign Languages of Chongqing Wang Xu, deputy secretary of CPC Chongqing University attended the opening ceremony and made an opening speech. In the two-day camp, six seasoned diplomats who are mainly former employees of international organizations were invited to give lectures to students. Song Yunfu, former senior diplomat of the World Health Organization and former Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Health shared three questions with students surrounding the theme of Exploring Global Governance from the Global Fight against the COVID-19, such as “why are international organizations so important, what is an international civil servant and how to foster requisite qualities”. Wang Jiyuan, former Deputy Director of International Labour Organization(Beijing) and Director of the National Bureau of Thailand, Cambodia and Laos, explained the policies related to internships in international organizations, the concept of international civil servants, and finally gave the participants detailed and valuable advice on how to improve their employment competitiveness with the theme of Work For The UN.
